FRIDAY, November 8th, 2024

6:30 PM - OPENING CEREMONIES & WARM UP
Join Sensei Gordon Green in opening up the festivities and getting warmed up for an evening of training. Review safety info and rules for participation. Get to know one another.

7:00 PM - KUNG FU: HUNG GARS LAU FIST AND COMBAT APPLICATIONS

Join Sifu Wayne Judge for an hour of training in the ancient and noble art of Kung Fu Hung Gar.

8:00 PM - TENSHIN AIKIDO

Sensei Gordon Green presents this hour of Aikido with a practical basis. Tenshin departs from many classical Aikido schools by focusing on street-worthy technique.

SATURDAY, November 9th, 2024

10:00 AM - AIKIDO

Join Sensei Neil Segal as he teaches an Aikido style with a lineage that stretches all the way back to its founder, with a deeply spiritual and traditional flare.

11:00 AM - IAIDO: The Art of Drawing the Sword

Join Sensei Ross Whalen as he instructs an hour of Iaido.
Under Shogunate rule, Japan entered a period of time without war. The Samurai found themselves opponent-less. Thus Iaido was born. Paired with meditation in motion, iaido is designed to combat the restless warrior within. The sword becomes an esoteric weapon, honed to sever negative attachments. 

12:00 PM - SWEEP THE LEG: SHURI RYU

Renshi Conway Wong takes us on a journey through the art of Shuri Ryu in this hour. 

1:00 PM - LUNCH (90 minutes)

One of the best parts of Dojocon is the chance to hang out with likeminded people! For those who'd like, you can grab a group and get lunch at one of the nearby eateries. Just remember to be back early enough to dress out for the next session (which will be unforgettable!)

2:30 PM - ESKRIMA

Join world rewnown Guro Chuck Cadell as he teaches the basics of Philipino stick (knife) fighting! You won't want to miss this rare opportunity to train with Master Chuck.

3:30 PM - FENCING

Join the great Pat Dorsey as he teaches the basics of fencing and demonstrates the differences between the styles and methods available to those interested in the sport.

4:30 PM - LION DANCE

Take a break from training to watch this spectacular performance by the Kung Fu students of Sifu Wayne Judge. The lion dance is an ancient tradition of color, movement, story, and music you won't want to miss!

5:00 PM - KAMAI: MORE THAN JUST STANCE (NINJITSU)

Join Shidoshi Nick Nelson as he teaches the martial art of ninja! 

SUNDAY, November 10th, 2024

10:00 AM - JUDO FOR THE NON-JUDOKA

Sensei Russ Little is a high level instructor bringing Judo moves to those who haven't trained in Judo, or have a basis in other arts. 

11:00 AM - KEMPO: HOW TO APPLY PRESSURE POINTS AND JOINT LOCKS INTO YOUR SELF PROTECTION

A firt for Dojocon, we join Sensei Jim Greenwood for the instruction of the martial art of Kempo with an emphasis on pressure points and joint locks as they are applied in self-defense situations.

12:00 PM - INCENSE

Wrap up your weekend of training by sitting in with instructor John Launius as he tells the story of traditional Japanese incense through scent.
